Terms for using Rolewise.

These terms are a practical launch draft and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before broad public promotion.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, using Rolewise, uploading a resume, starting a subscription, or using generated materials, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Product Purpose

Rolewise helps users upload resumes, discover job matches, identify career paths, evaluate job quality, prepare tailored resumes and cover letters, and track application activity.

Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for keeping login credentials secure, using accurate account information, and notifying Rolewise if they believe an account has been accessed without permission.

User Content

Users own the resumes, profile information, notes, and application materials they upload or create. Users give Rolewise permission to process that content as needed to operate the product, provide AI features, save account data, provide support, and improve reliability.

User Review Required

Users are responsible for reviewing all job matches, job links, employer information, AI-generated content, application materials, and application decisions before using or submitting anything. Users must make sure materials are truthful, accurate, and appropriate.

No Guaranteed Outcomes

Rolewise does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employer responses, salary outcomes, career advancement, visa or immigration outcomes, background-check outcomes, or the accuracy of third-party job listings.

Human Approval Workflow

Rolewise is designed around user approval. The user should decide whether to apply, what to submit, and whether generated content fits the role.

Subscriptions and Billing

Premium and Pro are recurring month-to-month subscriptions unless a different offer is clearly stated at checkout. Premium is currently $15/month. Pro is currently $20/month and includes Premium features plus generated application materials and deeper career discovery.

Promotions

Rolewise may offer no-credit-card in-app trials, automatic launch access, promotional codes, or limited discounts. Founder launch access such as FOUNDERS20 may be applied automatically to eligible new accounts, does not create a paid subscription, and does not automatically charge when the trial ends. Other paid-plan discounts apply only when a user voluntarily starts a paid subscription, and those subscriptions renew at the regular plan price unless canceled.

Cancellation

Users may cancel renewal from the account billing area. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Paid access remains available until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise required by law or stated at checkout.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Subscription payments are generally non-refundable unless Rolewise approves a limited exception or applicable law requires otherwise.

Acceptable Use

Users must not upload unlawful content, impersonate others, submit false or misleading applications, misuse employer data, attempt to bypass plan limits, scrape or copy the service, interfere with security, reverse engineer protected systems, or use Rolewise for spam, fraud, discrimination, or harassment.

Third-Party Services and Job Listings

Rolewise depends on third-party providers for hosting, database, authentication, AI generation, job data, payment processing, email, monitoring, and support. These services may change, return incomplete information, or experience outages. Job listings remain controlled by the original employers or job-posting sources.

Beta Changes

During beta and early launch, features, limits, pricing, workflows, job-data coverage, and AI outputs may change as Rolewise improves.

Service Availability

Rolewise aims to be reliable, but the service may be unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages, infrastructure problems, or changes to external job data and AI providers.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Rolewise is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-opportunity damages related to use of the service, job outcomes, third-party listings, AI outputs, or employer decisions.

Termination

Rolewise may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates risk for other users or the service, fails to pay required fees, or uses the product in a harmful or unlawful way.

Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian law, unless a different law is required. A qualified professional should confirm this before broad public launch.
